Once your batteries reach a critical level the generator should kick on to recharge them.
I do not own an MH so I am assuming that your refrigerator would run at least 8 hours without compromising your batteries. Remember that is dependent on what ever drain is placed on them from other loads.
If you store in your driveway just unplug the MH turn on the fridge and see how long before the generator kicks in.
MH are not cheap and it makes no sense to produce one that is not capable of supporting itself for reasonable periods of time.
What a good idea :o We have it plugged in now so we can load it up. We will turn on the frig (I understand at least I think I do from power outages) that if the frig is full and not opened much, of course it will stay colder) but we can get a sense of how long - or we can put stuff in it and see what happens !! Thank you
