We make reservations for planned long stays, like winters in popular areas or our 2 - week stays at Thousand Trail campgrounds. But in between times are kept fluid. Rest stops and truck stops work for traveling. Walmarts can work for overnighting and often will let you unhook your toad if you want to do some sightseeing. Local campgrounds can generally be found for impromptu stays. We live in our RV. We are in no particular hurry to get anywhere. We like full hookups. We don't like the fuss of having to break down and set up all the time. So we try to stay at places at least a couple weeks. A month is even better.
