When I fired up the fridge this year it took about 24 hrs for it to cool down...if you don't keep it on do you stop by the storage yard a day ahead and turn the fridge on before your trip?
We do pretty much same thing, except we remove leftovers. Do leave staples in frig. We don't have a place to plug in at storage spot. Run frig on auto, it switches to LP with no 115 Vac, solar panels keep the batteries charged. LP lasts a long time.
