Michelin tires work very hard at making their tires sound like they are the best on the road but they won't back them up. I had replaced my 245/75R16 load range E with Michelin. After a year the sidewall had cracks. After 21/2 years they looked terrible but Costco said Michelin won't replace. I called Michelin as a recall was on going but my tires were 2 sizes bigger than recall, even though they were manufacture at same plant and same time as recall. They told me cracking is not covered, only tread seperation or catastrophe tire failure (blow out), would they replace tire. I did not feel safe so I replaced them with USA made Cooper tires. 3 years and 40000 mile still looking good. I will never pay higher price for a Michelin tire that not even made in US.
Different experiences for different folks. My Michelin tires say "Made in U.S.A." on the sidewall. They have many manufacturing plants in the US employing over 17,000 people. I replaced the OEM Michelins that came of my F150 after three years at 74,000 miles at 4/32". Bought some more Michelins.
