Towed an 09 and now a 2011 Element.
I use a Ready Brute tow bar with built in braking; about the sme price as a braking system. Very good tow bar.
I use Demco baseplates/ Usually cheaper than everyone elses and I install myself.
I use magnetic lights that have been wired front to rear as I carry a Vespa and it blocks one tail light.
