Quick connect faucet question....
2nd time this happened to me (yes I know how to winterize, but this part is cheapo)....I have a quick connect faucet outside in my 5th, and the cheap plastic male portion has cracked....not the big me...

I can't completely picture what you are discribing (pictures would help) but it seems to me that a garden hose with a quick disconnect held in place with a hose clamp on one end and a spray nozzle on the other end, would do the trick.
Have you considered disconnecting the faucet and storing it in a warm environment?
