I tend to try to keep up with traffic at least a little. My Ram 5.7L averages 8 - 9 most of the time. If I'm taking my time, and I'm not in the mountains, it will drift up to 10 or 11 MPG.
My old truck also got around 7. Besides the mileage difference, the difference in towing performance is spectacular.
