  • A better idea about a trucks actual mpg while towing will come from using several tanks and then forming a average.
Example my truck/5er has hit several tanks in the mid 13s and 10s when fighting 35-40 mph head/side winds all day long in western OK/TX/KS/etc. The truck gets around 11.5 on average.

Your Hemi powered Ram looks like a good choice for that size trailer. Makes for a more relaxing trip and always look forward to the next road trip.
  • I would expect that your mileage would be similar if the frontal shape is similar. Frontal area and shape play a bigger factor than weight once you get over a few thousand pounds.
  • geeky, I get this message when I click your link:

    "This video is private.

    Sorry about that."

Anyhoo, congrats on the new TV sounds like a sweet ride. You're getting 1 mpg better than my 2013 4x4 5.7, in the "hills" of Northern Michigan I get 10 mpg at highway speeds (55 - 65 mph.)
  • Can you give a guess what weight your TT is?
I just bought a 2014 Dodge Quad cab 1500 pickup truck that is 4x4 with the same engine and I am wondering what mileage I'll be getting with my 5000 pound Pioneer
