A better idea about a trucks actual mpg while towing will come from using several tanks and then forming a average.
Example my truck/5er has hit several tanks in the mid 13s and 10s when fighting 35-40 mph head/side winds all day long in western OK/TX/KS/etc. The truck gets around 11.5 on average.
Your Hemi powered Ram looks like a good choice for that size trailer. Makes for a more relaxing trip and always look forward to the next road trip.
