I got a letter from our city telling me to trim the street trees because the street sweeper was scraping the branches. Our city pushes for the property owner to maintain ( be responsible and liable) adjacent public improvements, such as curb, gutter and sidewalk, but requires a permit to do anything within the rightaway. geeze.
