Our city - Fremont, CA, has an ordinance that says that you have to keep a 10' clearance over the street. I have received a notice of violation for this due to a palm tree hanging down (long story -- these things have 12" sharp spikes on them and it's dangerous trimming them). 10' isn't enough for most RV's. My point is that even if there is an ordinance and even if it is enforced, chances are it isn't going to be anywhere near 13'6". That is nearly what is required on an interstate highway and isn't realistic on residential streets.
