There are certain situations where consignment makes sense. A local dealer here charges a flat rate of $500 for consignment. The unit is advertised just like any other unit on their lot--you can't tell what is a consignment unit and what isn't. So if I was an urban dweller who does not have storage space at my house, and store the unit at the dealership which is a 30-minute drive away, it makes sense to just have the dealer list and show the unit to prospective buyers. This especially makes sense in the pop-up and hybrid market, where you have to open the bunk-ends. Just food for thought....
