Sounds like a good way to test the Invsibrake settings without the MH.
There is a brake adjustment procedure detailed on page 4 of the Owner's Manual. It involves simply pulling the break away pin, reading the brake pressure and turning the adjusting dial. No hook-up to MH is necessary unless you wish to test the new setting.
