Any good Camp Host stories?

I am the asst. operations manager for ASM that runs all the Campground in the Allegheny National Forest (N.W. PA)for the U.S. Forest Service. At several of our campgrounds at the end of the weekends you find the dumpsters are full of brand new tents and other camping gear. One Sunday afternoon while making my round at one of the campground I see a guy throwing away a tent and cooler so I stop and ask him why He tells me that they live in a apartment in a city just across the OHIO line and don't have room to store the camping gear and that they only go camping once a year so every year they buy new stuff and throw it away after one use.
