We absolutely use our RV seasonally. We pick a place we want to visit, drive up there in the RAM 1500, pick a park and reserve a slot for the summer season.
Prior to the moving day, we hire a commercial hauler to move our 5th wheel to that camp site and, when the season is over, hire a commercial hauler to move it home (or wherever). Runs about $3 per loaded mile which, for us, is still much, much cheaper than paying for and maintaining a huge tow vehicle.
During the off-season, we pull maintenance on the RV and use it as a party room and guest house. :)
