I wouldn't have a problem with 3-4 day limit in front of the house, but no parking at all seems to be a little extreme.
You can, but you'll need a permit and I believe that buys you 72 hours before it has to be back in off street parking. I'm not sure if the permit exempts you from the 50 foot ban - I'll look into it. Hopefully they had to sense to exempt them during the permit period or RV owners living in corner residences (or close to it) would be out of luck.
