We left Southwest Florida in our motor home last Tuesday (earlier than scheduled) and arrived home in PA on Thursday. We left because of concern with still being able to travel freely and the behavior that we encountered in FL. Beaches still crowded with spring breakers in addition to the normal crowds, people still crowding restaurants and stores, etc. We reserved in a park in Georgia and told them that we wanted no contact, payed by credit card. We disinfected connections, wore gloves, etc. The park told us that if we didn't come in the office to register they would not honor our discounts (AAA, etc.) and there was a $2 surcharge. Whatever, needless to say we wont return there. Rest stops were open for food takeout and restrooms. We also made a stop in Virginia and stayed at King's Dominion Campground I must say it was a nice park and very accommodating. Traffic was relatively light. No way would I travel now for pleasure. This is very serious stuff. There will always be RVing, this is a time to hunker down, have as little interpersonal contact as possible, not being a Chicken Little here but this is scary.
