"so called big rig friendly rv parks"

I had a really bad experience this past March concerning my length. I had a confirmed reservation at St Andrews State Park in Panama City Fl. My confirmation letter even had the length of my Toyhauler (41ft). When we got to the park, I was fulling out the registration card and the attendant noticed the length and told me that they could not accommodate a rig that side. He said their max length was 35 ft. I should him my confirmation letter and he said "well someone obviously made a mistake." When I asked for a refund if my deposit I was told that I could not get a refund as all cancellations must be done 48 hours prior. Luckily we were able to get a sit at a local KOA.
