The ferrites should go around both wires to the motor and as close to the motor as possible. Also a bypass capacitor could me added across the wires as close to the motor as possible between the ferrites and the motor. I'd guess .1 to .01 mfd at a few hundred volts. This takes a little soldering. The ready made RF suppressor is a good idea and might be a little easier to install; again as close to the motor as possible. Russ
