We had a local campground we went to for a few years. It was close and great for weekend get aways. We became friends with the manager and both camp hosts. We even volunteered our time and personal money to help improve extra activities and events. We really loved the people there.
Then the first camp host left. Then the second. Then the manager had some dramatic life changes and he left too.
Then new people came 9n board. This was a county run park, and the powers to be incorporated changes that were just never the same again.
For us, the charm that attracted us there was now gone. Since 5he the campground has made some wonderful improvements, it is a great campground. But for us, it's no longer,the same. When the manager left, we never went back again. Although physically the entire thing is improved, emotionally it is 100 percent different now. We have no desire to go back.
