Maybe just me, but I love reading the "one star" reviews... laughing and groaning the whole time, while thanking God it wasn't me. If I remember correctly, a few of those one star reviews on RVParkreviews actually have "rebuttals" from owners (or friends of the owner) who end up saying the camper was a jerk... which just makes me laugh and groan more! lol
I have yet to be at a one star campground... possibly because I recognize the campground for what it is and what it offers, and don't expect more.
One of my all time favorite campgrounds is "rustic" - no water or electric, outhouses, grass and rock campsites. I love going there!
One of my all time worst campgrounds is a "resort" - power, water, paved sites, activities, ponds, boats, rec hall, bingo, etc. Manager and seasonal campers were terrible and territorial and made our stay crappy. I didn't give this place a one star review, because of the hookups and facilities, but I gave it a "middlin'" review with warnings in my written description.
I check RVParkreviews regularly and still find it very useful. I'm kind of "meh" on the revamp of the site - not sure if it is better or worse, but did take awhile to figure out how it works.
