Part of the problem is that there is no standard that we review by. We all have our methods. Some people give a bad review simply because of one item.
My method, every CG starts as a 10. One point or maybe 1/2 point deducted for every issue. Expensive for the CG standard? 1 point deducted. No WIFI or extra charge for WIFI in a CG where one would expect it? 1 point deducted. Low voltage at the post? 1 point deducted & so on. I always list why the review is what it is.
I don't grumble if satellite reception is poor. It is a CG. I expect trees. I don't grumble if a site is a little off level unless the CG calls itself a resort & charges what one expects at a 'resort'. I don't grumble if the office person is a little 'off'. Who knows what the person before me was like & besides, I only have to talk to the office only once, & briefly at that.
Give me what you advertise. Failure to do that will mean points are deducted for each item.
