Recertify propane tanks

How often? When you are called out by the propane dealer.

I have 4 20# tanks they were past due to be Decertified.They cost me $5.00 each from a RV service co. I traded them in at HD paid for the propane filled ones. Nice to know we can cook on the Bbq as well as the RV when the big one hits....

If you have 20# tanks, you can also do a tank exchange and the new tank with be a future certification date.

I have heard it is 12 years from date manufacture on most, mine burnz-o-matic was 10 years should say on collar of cylinder, this would be for the ones that come with a TT/5er or a grill.
The first recertification it can be 5 years or longer just depends on the testing done.

12 years the first time and then every 5 years.
