Recommendations Needed!

From looking on line the new DRV's come with a whole house filter system. Water pressure regulator/gauge adjustable type would be a good addition. I would look at the Hughes Autoformer for EMS protection. Basically it will step up low voltage and keep you having power versus the others that shut down the power to protect your appliances.

Agreed...think more than surge protection...think low voltage protection.

For sure, get a water filter pitcher ! Most other filter will not remove bad smell/taste.

I would buy the Progressive EMS.

For water pressure regulator get a Renator on Amazon. Brass, very high quality and adjustable pressure and a nice oil filled regulator. I've always used bottled water. I don't really trust campground water. It can be a little iffy, just like the electricity.

Most water filtration systems remove chlorine. That is not a good idea in my opinion, at least for an RV water system and when obtaining water from different sources. I feel safer with chlorine in the system and then using a water purification pitcher for drinking water.

We do know that legionella, pseudomonas and a variety of other nasties are frequently found in RV water systems. Chlorine helps keep the nasties at bay.

I agree. In my case, with a whole house filter system, the chlorinated water goes directly into my fresh tank, but from there is pumped to the filter system before going anywhere else in the coach. My city water hookup is the same, going from the city connection, directly to the filter system. I like the idea of my fresh tank stored water being chlorinated. We drink filtered water from faucet, but still use a Britta pitcher in the fridge to have cold water.

I agree that I think it's better to fill your RV fresh water tank with the city chlorinated water. That's what I have done and have never had a fresh-water issue.

I did plumb in a dedicated water filter inside the RV and I installed two "drinking water" faucets, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom, which are connected to these two faucets only. All of the other water in the RV is unfiltered.
