Recycling Plastic Bags
I thought I heard on TV that plastic bags can't be recycled, is that true?

YES they can be recycled
Problem is they have to be 'manually handled' as they have a tendency to clog/jam the automatic sorting machines.
Manual sorting adds cost/labor so most end up in landfills and never disappear
