I read on a forum sometime a while back that buying inexpensive dog flea collars and putting them around axles, stabilizer jacks, and anything else that would make contact with the ground kept ants, etc. from making it inside. No idea if it actually works and does not address the problem of getting rid of unwanted guests, but does sound interesting.
