Wedge is only thing that holds pin box stationary AT the hitch.
Wedge loose.it can slide back and king pin now can pivot inside hitch
DO you have the 'universal' wedge that comes OEM?
When installed did you turn the 'relief area' DOWN?
Did you tap wedge full forward when 1st hitched and then torque bolts to 150 ft/lbs?
Lot of pressure exerted on wedge.....
Banging in to hitch when hooking up
Side to side forces when turning, making maneuvers especially when backing in and having to 'jack' the rig
Sounds like routinely checking torque on wedges bolts is needed!
