We have one in the RV but we rarely use it and the cartridge often goes dry.
We have reservation confirmation in our email so we just access it by phone.
We don't need it to deposit checks, with an app on our phone all we have to do it take a pic of each side and bingo it's deposited in our acc't.
If you have a smart phone you really don't need a printer.
I assume you have your lap top so you can put anything on disk or usb and if you absolutely have to print something you can go to any library and print it there or sometimes we have just taken it up to the office at the rv park and they will (for a fee) let you print or fax or whatever you need.
You don't really need to print directions unless you don't have GPS but most do now days.
To each their own, some habits do die hard but to retire is to simplify and really enjoy it.

iPhone apps to scan, make deposits, pdf files, etc. Printer is almost obsolete. If you absolutely, positively have to have a paper copy you can still get one at any Copy Queen (et al) or send it to your home for later retrieval.
