I use one of These.
The handle extends to reach at least half of the windshield and collapses for storage.
BTW, I always have trouble with streaks. So I asked a gas station owner what they use to clean windshields. (It may be the last station that cleans windshields). He said plain water with a few drops of dawn dishwashing detergent in it. It works!
