Your comments didn’t sound like a HF endorsement to me.
I had 3 sizes of angle grinders on my tool truck. But when the city got on my donkey about that truck in driveway, I started to leave it in the garage at the lot where I parked my equipment. (Old gas station) For my hobby use at home, I bought the HF tool. A little grease made it work for that use.
The OP has lived, bet at least 3-4 decades, and never had need of the angle grinder. Needs to cut what a dozen bolts? Why spend the money for a higher quality tool that will likely be used for a hour, the lay around forever?
The last 20 years I worked I bought a lot of HF tools. If I needed the same tool to wear it out, and it saved enough effort I would buy better tools. (Example; 3/4 drive socket set. Snap-on ratchet, Craftsman breaker bar, and S-K impact sockets for most used sizes.)

Since he apparently destroyed the knurling in the shackles with the impact wrench, my thought is that using power tools is not the smarter thing to do. A little hard work builds character.
Did the power tool destroy, or the fact he turned the bolt?
IMHO, it was his lack of understanding of how nut/bolt should be works. To loosen or tighten the fastener, turn the nut. To get it off on, does not matter as much.
