Removing seized shackle bolts?
Hello All, Looking for recommendations. I purchased the MorRyde CRE3000 with wet bolt / shackle kit. Jacked the camper up and the axels up, pulled the wheels, and did not get past the first shack...

Did the power tool destroy, or the fact he turned the bolt?
IMHO, it was his lack of understanding of how nut/bolt should be works. To loosen or tighten the fastener, turn the nut. To get it off on, does not matter as much.
With an impact wrench it is not possible to determine how much torque you are applying so that you can oppose that torque with the wrench on the other end. I believe that he did in fact use the impact on the wrong end but hand tools are the better option IMO.
