Renting Class C for Nat'l Parks Roadtrip

Hi all,

This summer my family and I will be driving all around AZ and UT to visit National Parks in a rented 32' Class C. I'm lurking around these forums to get as much info as I can! I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to: if we're setup in a campground but want to go somewhere for an activity, is it an issue to pick up and leave for the day? Are campgrounds okay with that? Will they assume you checked out and left? As it's a rental, I don't have the option to tow a small car behind...

thanks very much
  • Don't worry about how expensive renting an RV seems to be. It's still FAR cheaper than buying one if you are not going to be camping weekly. The depreciation driving a new one off the lot makes renting one look like small change.
  • You also may wish to check into having a rental car delivered for a couple of days at some locations to get around and park easier and cheaper with superior fuel economy.
  • Campgrounds are fine with it. Leave something behind like a water hose or chair to denote that you're coming back.
