  • All they had to do is Ask Us, the ones who have to buy that ****. It costs to buy additives to remove something that costs to produce it. I only use non-ethanol in all my small engines, they run better ad there are less problems.
  • And it costs more energy to produce the replacements for those parts the ethanol damages.

It's all about farm subsidies and the corporate farms under the guise of saving fossil fuels. With 10 percent ethanol I actually get 10 percent less gas milage and therefore have to buy 11 percent more gas to go the same distance.
  • With the world population growing and chronic hunger being a real problem in some places, I never understood the logic of using good crop land to grow fuel instead of food. Especially a fuel that is somewhat harmful to vehicle components.
  • I remember reading articles years ago that claimed that they burned more carbon fuel in growing, distilling, and transporting the corn than the amount of energy it yielded.
Whether or not they ever even got that issue remedied would be interesting to see.
  • I wonder if there is any way in the world that it's not their only fiasco.
  • I had an inspector from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management tell me that the State of Indiana no longer uses E85 in any of its vehicles.
