Need to know what kind of crystal ball the guy has that says the HG's will fail in 30000 miles? I know that some with tuners and high HP outputs will blow stock gaskets but they will normally be running ARP studs or equivalent. There are lotsa 6.0s out there with fairly high milage and never had issues, but at the same time there are those that have had issues. But to make this forecast is done how? If they are that bad why did he not recommend doing them now while into the engine where he is at? Oil cooler and upgraded egr recommended at same time. Depending on where the guy lives he may not be able to do a delete thus the need for a BPD or some other reputable replacement egr. yes btw I do drive a 6.0 and have done heads and studs when the deltas spiked and the oil cooler and egr needed r&r.
