In most cases, you can spend all the money you want on the type key that operates the locking mechanism and unless you change the normal cam lock, you will lose if the thugs want in.
Most are single point locks, some do have bars that connect in the sides. In most cases they are all on fiberglass or thin aluminum panels that are easily flexed or broken.
