Replacing bypass valve in Pleasure Way

Discovered a leaking 3-way bypass valve (middle one) in my '04 Pleasure Way Excel TS, can find replacement on-line. There are what look to be metal bands clamping each tubing connection but I can't see how to remove these to put in a new valve. Anyone experienced with this?

Thanks,
Chuck
  • Just use a pair of pliers and twist the suckers loose. Or buy a tubing cutter and just cut the lines. Then use Sharkbite connectors. I was a little skeptical of them. Just couldn't see how they would hold until I used them. Or you can just buy regular clamps.

The tool for putting the factory type crimps back on is too expensive for occasional use.
  • Sharkbite or Flair-It connectors work well without crimps. Either one will do you proud.
  • Many thanks! Turns out my plumber is coming for another job and said he could do it. I know, piece of cake, but things ALWAYS go wrong with my DIY jobs.
