X2. Without seeing it, what if the area you clean now looks much better than the rest of the RV? Now you have even more blending work to do.
IMO, don't sweat the small stuff.
I've seen more than a few vehicles where the finish was ruined by an overly aggressive application of a buffer and coarse rubbing compound. Be careful!
