Sounds like a real small area. If you have it, 3M restorer wax should work. Sounds a little more aggressive than 3M cleaner wax. Another product try is in your bathroom. Toothpaste.
Finish the job with a pure wax or sealer such as Carnuba or Meguires Flagship wax in the black bottle. The Flagship is my weapon of choice. It is a once a year application for the sides & back to keep that showroom shine now 11 years old.
