restoring gel coat gloss ...small spot

We somehow acquired a small scrape on the side of the TT. Not very big, like 3-4 inches long. something scraped the side and left a mark. There is no dent or physical damage.

Problem is in getting the scrape off the surface the shine of the spot was lost so it is still noticiable as a dull spot surrounded by a high gloss elsewhere.

So what can I use to renew the gloss in the now dull area? The spot is maybe 2-3 inches in diameter, actually 2 spots about the same size.

The TT is a Apex with the Adzel walls, 2017 so it really shines except the spots.

Would multiple applications of a good paste wax do it or what do you suggest?

Thanks

  • Differing cuts of compound with a buffer. I'd start with a fine cut and see how it does.

If you are not familiar with using a buffer a local body shop or detailer could probably make fast work of it. Buffers can cause more harm then good if not used properly.
