About 60 years ago our camp counselors would take groups of kids on long hikes often close to herds of Buffalo ... they just cautioned us against noise/sudden movement. The Buffalo kept an eye on us but otherwise left us alone. That was b4 internet and tendency to sue everyone. I doubt they do that anymore.
