I see it a bit differently. Yes, the direct approach of saying "hi, and BTW, could you please keep the noise down" does seem to me to be the best way of handling the situation. But the early morning revenge to me is more of a "major contributors to the problem" since the frat boys may not even see the correlation for the revenge and could just think all people camping act this way. IMHO
