In Washington State, most of the rest areas on the freeways have dump stations. They don't have threaded fittings, or if they do they are some crazy hydraulic fitting. Tincan Annie, from personal experience, I think you will find the water bandit can be an iffy proposition. The dump stations at rest areas seem to either be jammed or deserted so I got a water bandit and found the water pressure was way to high and just blasted it off the hose.
