Ok. Just to summarize:
Thank you for all the help.
I am the ignorant one about dump stations. (Why don't they make a sign, or post it in the rules and regulations brochure for us newbies!?)
We had a camping mentor who taught us everything (we thought) and told us to always rinse. And I bought and read a newbie book.
I am not trying to bait, I don't think, whatever that is. (Sounds like a waste of time to me.) I was not aware of the other post, because I just joined today and I did not search correctly. And if you wonder if I am sitting around waiting for paint to dry, I am painting my bathroom this afternoon so I am literally sitting around waiting for paint to dry...with my iPad.
We do not live near many FHU places, or at least where we go to hike and kayak in the mountains they don't have any nearby so we stay in NFS, NHS, and sometimes a state park, so we have to rinse, but we will always wait until there is no one else (not hard around here).
We love our trailer and we are thrilled to be new rvers. I have already booked a lot of campgrounds around our beautiful state for this summer, and starting next week I will be a semi-retired teacher. Most folks we have met are extemely friendly and helpful, including our local club, which I just joined and haven't had a chance to camp with yet. I guess I should have emailed one of them and they would have been more patient with me.
Biggest lesson I learned today: A lot of people find newbies to be unbearable. May you never be treated this way. But, luckily, there are more people willing to help, remembering what it was like for them, I guess. Thanks to both categories. You taught me each in your own style, be it funny, helpful or rude.
