It's totally crazy, but one day I saw a pair from Europe in a rented motorhome connect to the threaded fitting and fill up. I said "Hey, that is not for your fresh water tank!" They replied "It's OK, we only drink bottled water." I almost gagged thinking about the next renter of that rig.
