I honestly can say, I have never been in a dump station line any way near that long. At best, the longest I've ever experienced was 3 campers ahead of me.
Imagine an average length of an RV rig is, say with tow vehicles and all, and motor homes .... let's say, 45 feet. And let's put 3 feet between each rig, (almost bumper to bumper), well that would be line of 50 RV's, that would be a line approximately 2394 feet! That's almost a half mile long! Nope, I honestly can say, I've NEVER been in a dump station line that long!
You're a lucky man!
I've experienced dump station traffic jams like this at older Michigan State parks. 100s of sites and only 1 dump port. After a holiday weekend, the line is very long. Everybody waits until check-out time, and then queues up to funnel through the dump. I usually skip the lines and dump at the State park in my home town. They just renovated and have three dump islands now.
