I've argued with my son and before on this forum with folks who think you have to conform with the speed of surrounding traffic or you'll cause a terrible accident or people will hate you. Since 1971 I have traveled all over in all types of traffic conditions and have driven a steady maximum of 55 to 58 MPH, presently with a 30 ft. MH towing a car. No accidents in 40 years. Obviously, most other traffic is going faster and I don't care, as my priority is to drive the speed comfortable and safe to me and wife. I'm not sure if anyone has ever honked, gave me the finger or yelled out the window. Most people may recognize that one should drive slower with a 12000 lb. vehicle towing another 2700 lbs.When I'm just driving my little Sonic I speed up to around 65 and, of course, that's also too slow for most.
