I like that, BUT, I am assuming it still cost him additional money once he arrived on scene and the work was completed correct? Your one time fee does't include labor cost right?

Well if your plan doesn't cover your trailer that is an issue. You are also assuming you will have internet service in whatever remote place you happen to be.
You are also assuming you will be charged a reasonable rate to tow your rig. I witnessed a $1000.00 tow bill for someone who had their trailer towed off the interstate to a RV dealer about 12 miles total.
The tow truck was called by the state police because the RV was impeding traffic.
A tow truck capable of towing your truck and trailer will not be cheap or economical. I agree in an ideal scenario you maybe able to call help on your own. However I doubt the charges will be reasonable simply because you will have no bargaining power.
In a worse case you will not be able to call help on your own and you may sit for a long time before helps arrives if you are in a remote area.
Cost of roadside assistance is closer to 125.00 vs. 180.00 you can also find 99.00 introductory specials.
I have a roadside assistance plan for my rig, fortunately I have not had to use it and I hope I never do. The cost is negligible to me in the overall cost of owning an RV. Like all insurance you hope you never need it but are glad you have it when Murphy's law strikes
