I have been very happy with my present digital camera, a Nikon Coolpix AW 100 shock proof, waterproof unit. I am not a good photographer or a patient one and you will not see me getting up at 4:00am to get that great sunrise shot of the Grand Canyon with my tripod on the rim.
I will however, be hiking down throughout the canyons and high up on the mountains or long biking trips taking photos where all cameras take a beating. And although this little guy is scratched and well used looking and has been abused, there have been no issues regarding operating under rough conditions.
