Thought of Rock in the middle of last night. Hoped to send a PM but Rock isn't set up to accept them. We wait... I pray...
  • Anyone heard from him? He hasn't posted since 9/1 - the hurricane.
  • Thanks for updates on the area damage. I'll just assume he has more pressing things to do to his home than to visit the forum right now. He did say he needed a new roof - before the storm - so that could be an issue now, also.
  • The storm wasn't that bad. No fatalities or significant injuries anywhere. Lots of trees down, power outages, and terrible telephone and internet service. We are just up the road in Sopchoppy and I think we would have heard if any RV parks had suffered serious damage. lizzie
  • We're getting posts on FB by the owners of Lowkey Hideaway at Cedar Key. But I agree; it's probably a comms problem and he has other things to do.
  • I called on the land line number for a CG in Old Town FL yesterday which is approx. 20 miles inland from Cedar Key and got no answer. It just kept ringing. Then I called someone who full times in the CG in Old Town on his cellphone and he answered and told me that the power/phone poles were still down so no landline yet. The CG there was not trashed bad from heavy rain but had lots of wind damage to the trees etc which they now have cleaned up but still no final pole replacement.

Cedar Key area where Rockhillmanor is west of Old Town has been totally isolated and severely damaged by the hurricane that went thru and will be for a while yet due to the extreme damage but no fatalities. The coastline area is getting most of the repair people's attention yet. I'm assuming Rockhillmanor can't even use his cellphone yet as all non-emergency communications, land or cell, aren't even available yet there as I was told.
