DH and I almost always have music playing at our campsites. Like so many have said, we check to make certain what we are listening to cannot be heard away from the perimeters of our site. Our taste in music should never be inflicted on our neighbors. Don't think the number on your volume control matters, nor what kind of music you were playing. If another camper's "privacy" is broached by the sound of your music, you are encroaching on them. Quiet hours mean, simply, be home, be quiet and let others sleep. They don't mean that's the only time courtesy should be extended. We always ask those around us if our music is too loud or bothersome. Hopefully they are honest when saying there's no problem. By asking, we avoid the circumstances of someone having to get the campground host involved. On occasion we have been told to please turn it down - we always comply. No sense in creating a negative situation when it's easily avoided.
